Parents,
We wanted to share the upcoming schedule for our State Assessment. It is imperative students be present for testing. Starting this year, if a student is absent for part of the assessment, they must take the missed portion before they can continue with the current day’s schedule. This is not a school or District decision but rather from the Department of Education.
The first two days will require students to write in response to a prompt. We will run an alternate schedule and complete all testing first thing in the morning on April 17th and April 19th. We will aim to begin all testing by 8:30 each morning.
April 17th – ELA Test Part I (85 mins)– this is the writing portion and it must be mailed off the first week.
April 19th – SS Test Part I (50 mins)
The remaining tests will be given to students during their regular scheduled class period (example: if the student has math 1st/2nd period – they will take math 1 during that class time). Please avoid, if at all possible, scheduling any appointments for students on the following days:
April 24th – ELA 2 (50 mins), Math 1 (40 mins), SS 2 (50 mins)
April 25th – ELA 3 (50 mins), Math 2 (35 mins), SCI 1 (48 mins)
April 26th – ELA 4 (45 mins), Math 3 50 mins), SCI 2 (47 mins)
