Greenbrier Middle School was one of three Tennessee schools receiving a $1,000 gift from the California Casualty Thomas R. Brown Athletics Grant. The money will be used in the school’s wrestling program to purchase a replacement for the current 30 year-old wrestling mat.

Greenbrier Middle School February Students of the Month

Greenbrier Middle School eighth grade classes recently completed a cross-curricular three-week study centered around the movie Hidden Figures.

Over the winter break four GMS students participated in the Bret Cooper Academic All-American football game in Dallas, Texas. Players were selected from all across The United States and Sweden. The Greenbrier Middle school players were selected to play on the East squad that played the West. The East was victorious 22 - 6. The General Daniel Smith Rock Castle Chapter of the DAR, Daughters of the American Revolution, presented a portrait of George Washington to Greenbrier Middle School on Wednesday, Nov. 30. Chapter members Virginia Rizor Bean and Augusta Morales, a teacher at the school, made the presentation to school principal Kathy Carroll.
