ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

Student-athletes participating in any school-sponsored sports are expected to maintain a “C” average or better in all classes throughout the entire school year.

Student-athletes that fail to meet this requirement could face consequences that include, but are not limited to, not being able to participate in practice and/or games.

BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS

GMS student-athletes are role models and are expected to exhibit proper school behavior at all times. 

This expectation must be adhered to both on and off campus. This includes conducting oneself in a respectful and appropriate manner on all social media platforms.

Repeated failure to meet behavioral guidelines may result in a student-athlete being removed from the team.

TSSAA REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL SPORTS

Students trying out for a sport must have a sports physical completed on the TSSAA paperwork. All sports physicals must be dated April 15, 2022 or later.
